Distribution of Heptacarpus brevirostris in British Columbia in British Columbia

Introduction


The Stout Coastal Shrimp is found from northern Alaska to southern California, where it is occurs in the intertidal zone among rocks and eelgrass to depths of 128 m (Lamb and Hanby 2005). This is a species of 'broken back' shrimp that exhibits a sharp angle where the tail attaches to the body. Colour is highly variable.
